Monthly meetings
of the Society are held at the Edinburg Community Center on the
third Tuesday of each month from March-November. In addition
to conducting business, a presentation is made by an invited
speaker of local, regional, or state interest.

Recent presentations
include:
Mary
Sanders Shartle told about her new novel, The Hermit: The Truth
and Legend of Lily Martindale, a fictional woman living alone
in the Adirondack mountains.
Roland Kays, curator of mammals at the New York
State Museum, presented "Coyote and Fisher: New York State's
Most Successful Predators".
Davis Bixby amused us with his project "Interesting
Cemeteries and Gravestones in Fulton and Saratoga Counties".
Tom Ryan shared his interest in historical preservation
with a program about "The New Hadley Bow Bridge".
Warren Greene, noted photographer
discussed his work on Wildlife and Nature photography.
Kristine Saddlemire, Saratoga County Historian,
presented her research on "The Underground Railroad in Saratoga
County".
David Cornelius discussed the History of the Mohawk
Indians in our area.
Steve Engelhart of the Adirondack Architectural
Heritage, lectured on "Adirondack Architecture: Great Camps
and the Rustic Tradition."
