Monthly meetings
of the Society are held at the Edinburg Community Center on the
third Tuesday of each month from March-November. In addition
to conducting business, a presentation is made by an invited
speaker of local, regional, or state interest.

Recent presentations
include:
Author
Dr. Elaine Handley discussed Deep River,
her novel about the Underground Railroad set in 1852 just outside
Saratoga Springs.
Roland Kays, curator of mammals at the New York
State Museum, presented "Coyote and Fisher: New York State's
Most Successful Predators".
Bruce and Bradley Brownell presented a Sacandaga
family portrait entitled "A Brownell Family History".
Tom Ryan shared his interest in historical preservation
with a program about "The New Hadley Bow Bridge".
Warren Greene, noted photographer
discussed his work on Wildlife and Nature photography.
Michael Burnett, Director of the Northville Public
Library, explained the resources available at the Library for
genealogical research in a program entitled "Tracing Your
Family Tree".
David Cornelius discussed the History of the Mohawk
Indians in our area.
Steve Engelhart of the Adirondack Architectural
Heritage, lectured on "Adirondack Architecture: Great Camps
and the Rustic Tradition."
